As the year 2023 approaches, it’s time to start thinking about the perfect wedding venue.
With so many different options available, it can be difficult to narrow down the choices. To help make the decision a little easier, here are my top three wedding venues for 2023 – The Waterside Hotel near West Kilbride,
The Piersland Hotel Troon, and The Gailes Hotel Irvine North Ayrshire.
But which one is my favourite of 2022?
The Waterside Hotel near West Kilbride is a wonderful venue with that New England look for couples looking for a romantic and intimate wedding. Situated on the banks of the Firth of Clyde, the hotel is close to the Craft Town of West Kilbride. The hotel features a range of luxurious rooms and suites, perfect for wedding receptions and overnight stays. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant, serving delicious local food and drinks. The hotel’s outdoor areas provide great spots for wedding photos, with a private beach and wonderful views of Ailsa Craig and of course the Isle of Arran.
The Piersland Hotel Troon is a stunning wedding venue situated in Troon on the Ayrshire coast. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, providing an idyllic setting for wedding photos. The hotel also offers a selection of elegant rooms and suites, perfect for wedding receptions and overnight stays. There are also many golf courses to be found close by. The hotel’s bar and restaurant serve delicious local food and drinks, while the outdoor facilities and gardens provide a great spot for wedding photos with the beach being a 2 minute walk away.
The Gailes Hotel Irvine North Ayrshire is a fantastic wedding venue situated 5 minutes away from Irvine beach. The hotel is surrounded by lush gardens, providing an idyllic setting for wedding photos. The hotel also features a selection of luxurious rooms and suites, perfect for wedding receptions and overnight stays.
The Gailes Hotel also boasts several bars and a restaurant, serving delicious local food and drinks. The hotel’s outdoor terrace and newly created bandstand and water feature provides an ideal opportunity for amazing wedding photos.

So, who wins my favourite venue of 2022?
For me, with the construction of the new bandstand and the water feature, it has to be The Gailes Hotel with
The Piersland coming in a close 2nd with it’s manicured gardens and running a very close 3rd, The Waterside Hotel.
I also have to say that the staff of all 3 hotels are just amazing and it has been my pleasure over the last year to meet with them and also get to know them and take advice from them as well.
